As of 11:59 pm on Wednesday 13th April 2022 NZ will be moving to a Traffic Light ‘ORANGE’ protection framework..
Firstly we want to reassure you that our number one priority is to ensure the wellbeing and safety of our Golf Warehouse team members, our customers, visitors and communities as COVID-19 continues to affect us in NZ.
The great news is you can continue to visit all our locations during the red setting and there aren't any regional borders in place in New Zealand.
As with all businesses in New Zealand, we are planning around the impact Omicron will likely have on our staff and our customers. In the coming weeks we may have to make some changes to our store opening hours if we are affected, but we will do all we can to continue to keep the doors open.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
OPERATIONAL SAFETY MEASURES: -
Traffic Light Framework Protection - ‘ORANGE’
Golf Warehouse has an obligation firstly to our visitors and the NZ Government to maintain mandatory safety requirements. This includes having mechanisms in place and staff members on site to enforce compliance of all safety measures and procedures listed.
Vaccine Pass is not required but guidance is as follows below:
Visitors must comply with all procedures and safety measures. Failure to do so will risk the safety of others, and may compromise the ability for us to keep the facility open.

PHYSICAL RETAIL STORES - ‘ORANGE’
Our stores will be OPEN to public access during alert Traffic Light ‘ORANGE’
Vaccine Pass is not required but guidance is as follows below:
Customers/Visitors will be allowed into our stores. Each store will have its own processes to comply with all of the NZ Government regulations so we ask that you cooperate with our experienced staff when you visit. Contact Tracing using the NZ Govt Covid App is not required but will be available for those that would like to scan in prior to entry at all GW locations. Face Coverings must be worn at all times when in-store and physical distancing of 1m from staff and other customers/visitors is encouraged.
PROCEDURES: Traffic Light ‘ORANGE’
- Contact Tracing prior to entry is no longer required but will be available for those that would still like to scan in using the NZ Govt QR Code.
- Face Coverings are required and to be worn at all times when inside store
- Physical distancing of 1m is encouraged at all times when inside the store.
- Payments - card only preferred - no cash where possible
- Any tested golf equipment will be sanitised after use
- Public Toilets permitted - keeping physical distance at all times.
It is important that you familiarise yourself with the above information and requirements. We ask you to proactively apply them throughout the duration of your visit
DRIVING RANGES - Traffic Light ‘ORANGE’
Vaccine Pass is not required but guidance is as follows below:
- Contact Tracing prior to entry is no longer required but will be available for those that would still like to scan in using the NZ Govt QR Code.
- Face coverings are not required when outside or when hitting but wearing a face covering when not hitting or standing in the walkway is encouraged.
- Face coverings are required when entering/exiting the Store/Driving Range.
- Up to 3 people per hitting bay allowed - no extra people allowed even if spectating. This is for safety rather than spacing
- Driving Ranges are automated meaning no contact with the balls or tees prior to each shot.
- Hire clubs are available and will continue to be sanitised after each use
- Physical distance of 1m is encouraged at all times when on the Driving Range including entry/exit from the range

GOLF COURSES - Traffic Light ‘ORANGE’
Vaccine Pass is not required but guidance is as follows below:
- Contact Tracing prior to entry is no longer required but will be available for those that would still like to scan in using the NZ Govt QR Code.
- Face coverings are not required when playing but must be worn at all times if/when entering the shop.
- Hire equipment is available and sanitised after each use
- All players should wash/sanitise hands before and after play
- A maximum of 4 players per group allowed.
- Physical distancing (1m encouraged) between all players
- Flagsticks will be on the greens however they should be left in the hole at all times.
- All golfers must tee off from the first hole.
- Please be considerate of people who may be walking on the course.
- Customers are only permitted to play with one ball at a time.
- Scorecards will be available

MINI- GOLF (outdoors) - Traffic Light ‘ORANGE’
Vaccine Pass is not required but guidance is as follows below:
- Contact Tracing prior to entry is no longer required but will be available for those that would still like to scan in using the NZ Govt QR Code.
- Face coverings are not required when playing but must be worn at all times when/if entering the shop.
- Mini golf equipment is sanitised after each use
- All players should wash/sanitise hands before and after play
- A maximum of 4 players per group allowed.
- Physical distancing (1m encouraged) between all players.
- All golfers must tee off from the first hole.
- Please be considerate of people who may be on the course.
- Customers are only permitted to play with one ball at a time.
